SUSTAINABILITY

Our Specialty Coffee LA RESERVA 22 COLOMBIAN COFFEE stands out for its ethical purchase policies. We only market coffees grown with respect for natural resources and local communities. We do not support any non-environment-friendly models that may endanger future generations.

We take great pride in being environmentally conscious producers in our search for special coffees, like the ANCESTRAL COFFEE, which is obtained from the plantation EL HORIZONTE. This place is currently transforming towards a “coffee-producing agroecosystem” and stands out as a valuable natural reserve for civil society. recognized by civil society.

Any solid and liquid byproducts resulting from coffee production, such as the peels coming out from the de-pulping process, are typically used in vermiculture to generate organic nutrients. These nutrients will then again enrich the soils of coffee plantations. Therefore, by taking care of our resources, we can ensure the brewing of the cup of coffee you can enjoy both at present and in the future.

With the sowing of trees such as cedars, guamas, guaiacums, and walnut trees, we thus seek to create a shade cover that provides a nice habitat for birds and other animals while guaranteeing sustainable coffee production, as this plant coverage does not only safeguard the soils, but it also ensures the storage of water and preservation of water sources. Also, in every hectare cultivated in the plantation EL HORIZONTE, we planted 70 trees that provided shade to our coffee plantations. We have extended our plantation to areas of protective woods, further boosting our commitment to sustainability.

This plant coverage not only safeguards the soils but also guarantees the storage and preservation of water sources. In addition to the 70 trees providing shade to our coffee plantations, we have extended our plantation to areas of protective woods, boosting our commitment to sustainability.

The plantation El Horizonte truly embodies the proposal of a balance between humans, natural resources, and coffee-producing processes. This productive model is not only a tangible example of our engagement with sustainability but has also been recognized as a showcase for universities and stakeholders interested in learning from this new world of sustainable production of specialty coffee.Additionally, we are presenting an assorted selection of coffees from various plantations across different Colombian departments, all of them sharing our commitment to sustainability and high quality.
