There is one coffee in our lineup that we don’t roast. The farmers do
La Reserva Classic is the only coffee at La Reserva 22 that never passes through our roastery in Guelph. It is roasted in Colombia by the same producers and association who cultivate, harvest, and process every single bean. It arrives in Canada already roasted, already carrying the full identity of where it came from and who made it.
We designed it that way deliberately.
With La Reserva Classic, we wanted to offer something that no other roaster in Guelph can: Colombian coffee in its purest, most complete form. A roast profile decided by the people who walk the farms every day, who understand that terroir from the inside out, and who know precisely how that bean wants to be treated. No interpretation. No translation. Just the coffee as the producers themselves believe it should be.
There is a second reason, and it matters just as much to us.
When the producers roast the coffee, they capture the economic value of that step too. Not just the farming. Not just the processing. The roasting as well. That additional revenue stays within the community, within the association, and with the families behind every bag. For us, that is what Direct Trade genuinely looks like — not simply paying a fair price for green coffee, but recognizing that expertise and dignity exist at every stage of the chain, and making sure that value stays where it belongs.
La Reserva Classic is a single-origin Colombian Arabica, scoring 84+ on the SCA scale, imported directly from our producer partners in Colombia.
It is now available in our online store, with shipping across Canada.
Because the best Colombian coffee should not lose anything on the way to your cup.
